Open Access Policy

We firmly believe in the research availability to all people at the Journal of Progressive Social Inquiry. The power of knowledge increases when it is freely accessible, and we think that social science research should not be kept behind paywalls.
Our journal follows the full open access policy whereby all the published articles are freely and permanently available online.

Our Open Access Commitment

1. Free and Immediate Access
Articles published in JPSI are all:
● Accessible on the internet at no cost.
● Free and not requiring registration or a login.
● Open access, free of charge, and for sharing.
Readers do not have to pay any hidden costs.

2. Wider Reach, Greater Impact
Through open access, research is able to:
● Access an international audience of scholars.
● Educators and support students everywhere.
● Educate policy makers and practitioners.
● Promote cross-functional coordination.
The opening of access points makes the work of our authors more visible and effective.

3. Author Rights and Recognition
Authors are awarded with the credit. We ask that:
● Whenever content is used, proper citation is done.
● The source (JPSI) is recognized as the original source.
● No misrepresentation or manipulation of content is done without permission.
The issue of respect towards authorship and academic integrity is still of primary focus in our
policy.

4. Responsible Sharing
We have open access, which is based on educational and scholarly use. Prior permission might be needed in order to reuse or redistribute commercially, other than for academic purposes.

Why Open Access Matters to Us
Social Research tends to be focused on problems of the real world, inequality, governance, culture, identity, and development. Publicity of this research freely assists in bridging the gap between academia and society.
We know that knowledge ought to flow freely, provoke thought, and help to make knowledgeable decisions at the Journal of Progressive Social Inquiry. Open access does not merely represent a type of publishing model to us, but it is also a representation of our
ethics.
