Submission Guidelines
The Journal of Progressive Social Inquiry is pleased to have you in mind as a research subject. To ensure that the process of making the submission is easy and clear, we outlined everything you need to know below. We have just one objective: to make you represent your work in the most efficient manner at the same time keeping high academic standards.
Getting Started
Prior to the submission of your manuscript, you should make sure that:
✔ You have original and unpublished work.
✔ It has not been reviewed in other places.
✔ The final version has been approved by all co-authors.
✔ The subject matter is in line with the aims and scope of the journal.
It only needs a few minutes to reread these points and ensure that there are no unnecessary
delays.
How to Structure Your Manuscript
A good paper has a good first impression. We recommend including:
Title Page
● Title of the manuscript
● Author name(s)
● Institutional affiliation(s)
● Email of the corresponding author.
Abstract (150–250 words)
A summary of the purpose, method and results of your study.
Keywords (4–6 words)
Select keywords that are explicit of the major themes of your study.
Main Sections
Although the structure can change depending on your research style, most papers have:
● Introduction
● Literature Review (where necessary)
● Methodology
● Results / Analysis
● Discussion
● Conclusion
References
Make sure all the sources are cited and always formatted.
Formatting Requirements
So that consistency can be obtained among publications:
● Submit in DOC or DOCX format.
● Use a clear font such as Times New Roman (12 pt).
● Use regular spacing and margins.
● Number pages consecutively.
● Identify the tables and figures clearly and cite them in the text.
Formatting should be clean to make the reviewers concentrate on your research and not on
presentation problems.
Ethical Responsibilities
We put our research integrity into consideration. Authors must:
● Avoid plagiarism in any form.
● Be truthful and transparent in the presentation of data.
● Report any conflict of interest.
● Provide statements of ethical approval where necessary.
